NOW EVERYONE CAN SPY!
Introduction to FoodSpy
Have you ever found yourself feeling uncertain about going to a place for food?
Or have you ever eaten something so damn good (or the opposite) somewhere and you wanna tell it to the world?
Or have you ever tried some food recommended by a blog and you wanna reinforce or oppose what the blog has told you?
Or… you always wanted to be a SPY?
This is the ideal site for you! Introducing FoodSpy.site, which is the combination of food guide and a food review platform for the readers (or shall I say, dear fellow spies!).
P.s. For now, the site is mainly focussed on places in Malaysia but more countries will be included over time. Wish us luck and support us!
How FoodSpy differs from other food blogs?
We’re not paid to review.
Unlike other food review sites, you won’t find sponsored food reviews and trips here. Every restaurant and stall is personally visited by me (and my fellow spies) where the owners see us as regular customers. We pay for our food, stay in dorms or budget hotels for long distance food trips, take photos and gather information with a low key approach.
This is because we are real foodies and we want to relate the experience to you as a regular customer. And…
...I might be a little paranoid sometimes.
In order to stay under the radar and not being detected as a spy, I avoid asking too much questions, and I take photos with a low-profile device, aka, smartphone and not with highly-suspicious cameras. Because of this I may not get the full “intel” of the food and place, and the photos’ quality may not be as good. Also, our stomach’s space is limited and can only order that much, although we did several-round-visits to try more dishes sometimes. So…
..this is where YOU come in.
What’s your role as a Spy?
Contribute to our headquarter with new intel. Add missing menus, prices, intel on food untested by the previous spies, and any other useful information / tips.
