Over 40 years of being ‘world famous’, the Sheffield Pie Shop in New Zealand remains as the iconic pie shop to visit.
New York Peppered Steak ($7.50): Delicious, tender, chunky peppered steak in the fluffy pie topped with grinded pepper.
Lambs Fry & Bacon ($7.50): Tasty large chunks of sauteĢed lambs liver with bacon & onions in a rich tomato gravy. Be warned that this is not a flavor many could accept. If you like organs, you would like this.
Venison & Whisky Relish ($7.50): Slow-braised tender venison with homemade whisky relish. Yum! I love that their pies all have a very thin base.
Chicken, Apricot & Camembert Pie ($7.50): Their pies are so good I even took them for the multi-day great walk hiking trip.
The Sausage Rolls ($6.20) with their blend of finely-grinded meat are good too!
There were also potato top pies (normal size & savories [mini] size), and the classic savories mini pies, but they were all minced fillings so if you want to try the many flavors, you’ll need to have a big appetite and order the normal size ones.
