Gerai Lemang Kijal is a row of stalls by the roadside connecting Chukai and Dungun in Terengganu. Usually a seasonal cuisine during Hari Raya, the stalls here sell lemang all year long. The sticky rice are wrapped with leaves and stuffed in bamboo, cooking them by the charcoal pits.
When buying your lemang from one of the stalls, don’t forget to also buy some savory serunding daging (spiced beef floss) to eat with the fragrant sticky rice. The total cost for my lemang + serunding daging was RM10.
