The name ‘longkang’, which means drain, in this Char Kuey Teow Longkang place, originated from the ditch right across the road. Worry not, as the drain area is rather far away for the eatery, and there wasn’t any bad smell nearby when I was there. Contradicting its unappetizing name, Char Kuey Teow Longkang was decent but it’s only worth trying if you are passing by the area. It is the Malay’s version char kuey teow, which is wet and saucy. The taste was rather spicy and salty but it had a decent ‘wok hei’.
