Located just opposite of Kampong Koh market, Restoran Lee Chuo is an inconspicuous stall that sells great and very rare noodles.
The place is famous for its Loh Mee (RM4). The Loh Mee broth is boiled with bamboo shoots and cuttlefish, which make it so good.
Don’t leave just eating the Loh Mee thought, Restoran Lee Chuo’s Asam Laksa (RM4) is also one of the specialties. It resembled Penang Laksa perfectly. But wait… why not try out their Loh Lak? Loh Lak (RM4) is the hybrid of Loh Mee and Asam Laksa. Can you imagine the combinations of savory thick braised sauce with sourish spicy fish broth? Try it.
Next, you gotta try the very rare noodle, called 蛋燕 Dan Yan (RM4), it’s a Fuchou’s egg noodle. I bet you have never experienced this kind of noodle texture. It is a chewy, starchy, springy tapioca noodle.
Don’t forget to take the special assorted condiments such as pickled minced garlic and Kampung Koh chili sauce. There are also many other delicious noodles such as Kampua Mee (RM4), Red Wine Mee Sua, and Spicy Fish Maw Soup so please come with an empty stomach.
