Jia Li Mian Noodle House 家里面食館 was established since 1999 and they serve delicious Penang style noodles!
Penang Curry Mee (RM7): This Penang style curry noodle was stunning in terms of taste and ingredients. Just look at the amount of the ingredients covering the bowl! You’ll get ‘ginger flowers’ (姜花), peppermint, bean sprouts, cuttlefish, cockles, shrimps, tofu puffs, sambal, and even pork blood cubes! You could say this is the best Penang curry mee in Kuala Lumpur!
Penang Asam Laksa (RM7): The asam laksa was superb as well. Thick and sourish broth, cooked with sardin (they give you the whole piece!), peppermint, lettuce, ginger flower, shrimp paste, onion, cucumber and pineapple. A large crispy prawn cracker was placed on the side of the bowl.
Tomyam Mee (RM7): If you’re craving for something hot and sour, their tomyam noodle would not disappoint you! Beware of the mini chili bombs in the tomyam broth.
Lobak (RM3.20): The lobak was pretty tasty although it could put in more ingredients.
Hor Ka Sai (RM3.40): I reckon this is one of the first restaurants that started introducing this drink with a unique name. While this place calls it 好架势 (good power/action – in Cantonese), another popular name is 虎咬狮 (tiger bites lion – in Hokkien). It is actually a mixture of Milo and Coffee.
