A hidden restaurant nearby a temple in Jinjang, operated by a team of Burmese, who can cook Chinese and Thai style dishes expertly. I am not sure the actual name of this restaurant but we call this Jinjang Myanmar Tai Chow place. It is located just opposite of Restoran 118 Kopitiam (previously Kim San Kopitiam)
One of the popular dishes was the Claypot Fish Head Curry (RM35). The curry was awesome as it was rich and thick, with superb spice flavors (bye-bye white rice). The curry dish was full of vegetables (eggplant, long bean, cabbage and bendi) and some tau pok. The fish head was fresh and quite meaty.
The Salted Egg Mantis Shrimps (RM20) were marvelous. Coated thickly with curry leaves infused with aromatic salted egg batter, you’ll find this dish disappear real quick.
The Kung Pao Pork (RM20) was saucy and just a little spicy. The meat was tender and cooked just right.
Thai Style Tofu Salad (RM15): Crispy tofu with fresh cucumber, onion and chili, drizzled with some sweet and sour sauce.
Even the receipt was written in Burmese letters.
