Pan Heong Restaurant (品香食家小馆) is a popular noodles tai chow place in Batu Caves area. Although their signature dish is the pricey Fresh Water Prawn Hor Fun, the other dishes are delicious with reasonable price.
Hor Fun 滑蛋河 RM14.50: This is the specialty and highlight of the shop. The gravy was very eggy and smooth. While there’s a hype on the fresh water prawn hor fun (which will greatly increase the price of the noodle because of the prawns), it’s skippable and you could order the normal version without prawns at Pan Heong Restaurant.
Porridge 粥 RM9: Based on the good taste you could say it’s cooked with a good stock. The grains were nice and soft.
Pork Meat Bee Hoon 扣肉米粉 RM24: Other than having big slices of pork, the smell and taste of the noodle and braised pork were very good.
Mee Goreng 印度面 RM8: You probably wouldn’t expect to find mamak style fried noodle here, but the one at Pan Heong Restaurant wasn’t bad at all.
