Harry’s Homemade Fine Foods is a shop next to the main highway connecting Adelaide to the Northern Territory, Western Australia and Queensland. Other than providing delicious food for hungry drivers, exotic meats such as crocodile, camel, kangaroo and buffalo burgers are one of the main attractions of this shop.
I ordered a camel burger and a bottle of camel milk. The burger comes with camel patty, lettuce, tomato, fresh onion, cheese, sauce and Harry’s homemade mustard pickles. The camel patty was tender and juicy without any hint of gamey flavor.
The camel milk (supplied by Humpalicious Camel Farm) are sold frozen so I can’t drink it right away. The camel milk was much stronger in taste (too strong for my liking) than cow’s milk, and has a natural salty taste to it.
Other than cooked food, Harry’s Homemade Fine Foods also sell a variety of raw products (meats) and jarred jams and pickles. You can buy these exotic meat patties and crocodile tail fillets to cook back at home.
