When in Te Anau, don’t miss out one of New Zealand’s best pies in Miles Better Pies shop. Meat pie lovers won’t be disappointed as each pies are guarantee to be filled with big and chunky meat!
I had the Venison & Plum Sauce Pie ($7.50), the Lamb & Mint Pie ($7.50), and the Steak & Cheese Pie ($7). All of them were full of big chunks of tender meat with sauces that were not overpowering.
For vegetarians, they also have Vegetable Pie ($7) and Apple & Blueberry Pie ($6.50).
Do try the Sausage Roll ($5) in Miles Better Pies too. I was surprised by it’s size and meatiness, and it tasted really good, like a good burger patty!
