Toad Hall Motueka: Real Fruit Ice Cream & Seafood Chowder

First started as a real fruit ice cream stop for the hoards of Kaiterteri beach goers, Toad Hall in Motueka has evolved into a food paradise with wide range of variety. From artisan food products for comfortable dine-ins, to ready-to-go convenient salad or rice bowls for take-aways, Toad Hall has it all. It also has a organic garden market for fresh produce.

One of the top dishes for dine-ins is the crowd favorite Seafood Chowder ($30). Their famous and delicious chowder is stacked full of mussels, smoked fish and topped with grilled prawn served with toasted garlic bread.

A visit to Toad Hall is not complete without getting their Real Fruit Ice Creams ($6.50). For both times I opted for Real Fruit Yogurt Ice Cream ($7.50) and they were very rich and creamy. You get to choose different mix of fruits and the server will then place the fruits and ice cream into the machine to press out the final product onto the cone.
